No home to remember, only to look back and see an index of different places they had once been.
For those who have no home, where do they turn?
When the hard rains fall and when the dark clouds cover, what memory does the nomad of the mind turn to?
At this point it must be one of futurism, kindness, gentleness, but always in strength. The nomad of the mind must find an optimistic way to persevere into the future. They must share kindness with humanity the world. They must treat the Earth and living things with gentleness.
Through the sharing of kindness and gentle treatment, the nomad of the mind can find a way to bring home to oneself. The only way to improve one's life is to go out and share kindness with another human being or living creature.
When it comes to the concept of home, I am always reminded of the Epic of Gilgamesh. Home does not come from a piece of land or property, nor does it come from exerting power of a particular entity. Home comes from having those around you that support you, and those whom you want to support in return.
In this day of futurism and onward anticipation, one can look to the new world that is unfolding before us. Even a voice from the television or the radio can sometimes seem more homely than one from our own bloodline. The powers of technology can allow us to find someone in any corner of the world that might not have the same experiences, might not have the exact same personality, but someone who just might be able to share a moment's comfort to you.
In the 21st Century, our home has no walls, nor does it have limitations. Our home exists in ideas. Ideas we wish to share and connect with other humans, whether it is a personal experience or enjoying the same favorite song or even watching a dark wolf in the snow. The nomad of the mind seeks to connect with the mind of another.
